Jewish Community Council Nursery School: Welcoming all faiths and cultures for over 30 years!
The JCCNS is a parent-run preschool open to children age 2 years, 7 months through age 5. Our philosophy is to encourage each child toward full expression, self-confidence, and respect for family, friends, and the community through play-based learning. Each child’s day is filled with fun, enriching, growing and learning experiences. Weekly themed lessons are accomplished through art, music, drama, story time, circle time, free play, science and language activities. These activities are enhanced with outside time on our playground, through nature walks and monthly field trips. Our staff consists of sensitive, caring and experienced early childhood professionals.
The nursery school offers flexible scheduling with morning (8:30-12:00), “Lunch Bunch” (12:00-1:30), and afternoon (12:00-3:00) sessions, Monday through Friday. Children can be enrolled any number or combinations of days per week, to best fit the parent’s schedule. The school’s schedule, in terms of start date, end date, and holidays, is based upon the State College Area School District. We also have a unique drop-in service in which parents may sign up an enrolled child for a “drop-in” session on a day he/she is not normally registered, so long as space is available.
The JCCNS is currently accepting registrations for new students age 2 years, 7 months through age 5. We welcome children from all faiths and cultures! Call the registrar at (814) 234-0841 for more information or to schedule a tour.
The 2012-2013 registration form is also available here
